Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (Mute)

Bored with penning brooding love ballads, apparently because they now come too easily to him, Nick Cave’s new collection with the Bad Seeds betrays the influence of his side project, Grinderman, in that it’s down and dirty and predominantly groove-based. An enjoyable collection, from a man who sounds, at 50, like he’s just beginning to live.
