The Last Days Of Wonder by The Handsome Family (Independent)

Arizona-based husband and wife team Brett and Rennie Sparks offer another home-recorded, lugubrious meditation on life, death, love and whole damn thing - including strip mall bars, bowling alley bars, and ‘automatic sinks in airports’ that ‘no longer see your hands’. Also included is ‘Tesla’s Hotel Room’, a cut concerning electrical engineering inventor and all-round oddball, Nikola Tesla, who was recently portrayed on screen by David Bowie in Christopher Nolan’s film The Prestige, trivia fans.
